About Ohio CBD Guy’s Products

Per the 2018 Farm Bill, CBD is legal for use in food, dietary supplements, cosmetics, and personal care products. According to Ohio law, hemp growers and processors must be licensed and CBD products must be tested. Ohio CBD Guy aims to produce the most comprehensive education, highest quality, and best selection of hemp-derived cannabis products for customers.

All products contain 0.3% or less THC. Ohio CBD Guy carries terpene-enhanced full spectrum oil tinctures designed to produce a higher level of relief than what you might find at other retailers.

All customers receive free personalized dosage support in an effort to create the best treatment plan. (The FDA has NOT approved CBD to treat any condition and Ohio CBD Guy does not make claims that CBD treats specific conditions.)

Ohio CBD Forges New Partnership with Non-Profit MedicateOH

Ohio CBD Guy has recently partnered with the non-profit organization MedicateOH, which works to help Ohioans understand the complicated medical and legal issues surrounding cannabis as medicine. Over the next several months, MedicateOH staff will be on hand at events and in-store at announced times to assist Ohio CBD Guy in educating Ohioans about their opportunities with regards to cannabis and the state’s medical marijuana program. MedicateOH was formed in 2019 by a team of journalists and advocates and operates as a fiscally-sponsored community impact project of Community Shares of Mid Ohio. About Ohio CBD Guy

Jason Friedman, owner of Ohio CBD Guy, reflects on starting the business in 2017. “My wife and I were struggling with significant stress, anxiety, and sleep issues. Additionally my wife was dealing with back, neck, and shoulder pain (likely caused by all of the stress). We were both taking prescription medications and self-medicating with alcohol and drugs. I had used marijuana since I was a young adult to help me with stress, anxiety, and depression, but as I got into my mid to late thirties I noticed it wasn’t helping as much and in some cases it was making my anxiety worse.”

In 2018, a friend introduced Friedman to hemp derived CBD. “It made such a profound and positive impact in my life that I developed a passion to spread this knowledge to anyone who would listen. My wife and I healed ourselves and no longer rely on any prescription medications and have found healing and balance in our life. I decided to start my mission to provide a resource for our community for those seeking to learn more about this safe and natural remedy.”

Ohio CBD Guy initially opened their business as a kiosk at Kenwood Towne Center in Cincinnati. The response from the community and media was overwhelming, but led to unexpected setbacks. “Three months after opening, the Ohio State Pharmacy Board lumped hemp derived CBD in with their medical marijuana program and I was labeled a criminal. I refused to let this stop me. So we immediately left the mall to open our first brick and mortar store right across the Roebling Bridge in Covington, KY where the hemp laws were progressive and favorable. Once Ohio legalized hemp in 2019 we opened our East Walnut Hills store and then our Montgomery store in 2020.”

“At Ohio CBD Guy we pride ourselves in providing the most comprehensive education, highest quality products, and the best selection in the city,” Friedman said.
